Origin Of The Betta
Originatlly live shallow waters in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and of China. They usually find at rice paddies, shallow ponds, and moving streams. Mainly fish keepers knows bettas come from shallow waters, which is most important is the water temperature. Countries of the Betta are tropical, which means the water temperature is warm, often into the 80 degree F. Bettas depend on heat, and become increasingly listless when the water temperature falls below 75 degrees F. Water temperature is the biggest argument against keeping a betta in a tiny bowl.
That what some expert said.Though Bettas do well in waters low in dissolved oxygen, does not mean they need less oxygen than other fish. It's have a special respiratory organ that allows to breath air directly from the surface. In experiments where the labyrinth organ was removed, the fish died from choking even though the water was saturated with oxygen. That why, bettas must have access to the water surface to breath air .Usually the water for keeping should be soft, warm, a neutral to slightly acidic pH. Water movement should be kept to a minimum, which means that power filters and powerheads are not suitable. Can kept in a community tank as long as the water conditions is good, and if no aggressive or fin-nipping fish are present. Butr, only one male may be kept in each aquarium or separated by a barrier. Can use of plastic boxes that hang inside the aquarium are a suitable option for keeping more than one betta in a tank or for keeping them in a tank with fish that might nip their fins. Females usually not fight with each other, and may be kept in the same tank.

What Is yours Choice
Betta fish are one of the most popular types of pet fish in our culture today, second only perhaps to the goldfish. Between you and me though, I'd much rather have one of these guys than a goldfish.
Pet lovers often prefer Betta fish to other animals because bettas are known to be hardy. They need little care and attention, eat just about anything given to them, or can get without food for a week or more. In fact, they make ideal choice for home or office to add that look of nature.
What many novices don’t know that there’s certain preparation to be made before purchasing a betta fish. While some experts say bettas live happily in small bowels (in which pet shops sell them), it is not the best house for them. Betta-bowls are torturous devices, and it’s insane to make fish live in them. Same with us, humans; we can live in a tiny room, but prefer more spacious apartments and houses. Space is what every living creature needs. Therefore caring betta fish lover will buy a 3-gallon tank, but normally knowledgeable pet owners tend to buy tanks with 5 gallon capacity. Also, in a bigger space of water the temperature will not shift nearly as quickly or as much.
